Halloween Driving Tips to Improve Safety

Halloween is a great time for kids, but it's also one of the top three days with a high number of pedestrian injuries and fatalities. As motorists, it's up to us to know how to improve safety.

Step one: drive slower. Residential areas have lower speed limits, but you need to go at least five miles slower than that. This gives you a little extra reaction time if children dart out in front of you. Look for kids moving across lawns and porches and walking along streets, medians and curbs. They may run out from between parked cars, so stay sharp, and keep in mind that if they're wearing dark costumes, they'll be harder to spot.

One way to improve safety is by having a vehicle with the latest safety features. Zeigler Maserati of Grandville has plenty of them. Visit us to see and test drive some.
